RapidWorks Appoints Matt DePaolis as President to Capitalize on Growth and Expanding Market Opportunity in Heavy Equipment Sector

Appointment follows CRO Software acquisition and underscores RapidWorks’ mission to be the field management platform for all heavy equipment service providers.

Boston, MA, October 7, 2025 / PRNewswire/— RapidWorks, the leading provider of field management solutions for heavy construction equipment service providers, is entering a new phase of rapid growth and market expansion. As RapidWorks grows to meet increasing demand, the company announced today the appointment of Matt DePaolis as President. DePaolis’ path gives him a unique perspective on the very challenges RapidWorks is solving for its customers.

“With RapidWorks growing faster than ever, now is the right time to expand our executive team,” said Tim Curran, CEO of RapidWorks. “Matt’s unique combination of firsthand construction experience and proven SaaS leadership makes him the ideal leader to help us scale our product innovation, go-to-market, customer services, and operational excellence. His arrival strengthens our ability to capture the enormous market opportunity in front of us.”

A Career Shaped by the Job Site

Matt DePaolis began his career as a software engineer, but after three years he left the office and moved into the field — working as a general contractor building homes. That experience gave him firsthand insight into the daily pressures and inefficiencies that contractors face.

Eager to address those challenges with technology, DePaolis joined Vela Systems, an early innovator in software for field management in construction, that was later acquired by Autodesk, the global leader in construction software. There, he saw how purpose-built technology could transform a large and traditional industry like construction.

Most recently, DePaolis was President of Repsly, a retail SaaS company serving both field teams and back-office operations. He led the company through a period of rapid growth – strengthening product, customer service, and operational execution – which culminated in its successful acquisition by Cuadrilla Capital earlier this year.

“I’m thrilled to join RapidWorks at such an exciting time,” said DePaolis. “My years as a contractor gives me a deep appreciation for the daily challenges our customers face and inspires me to focus on solutions that make their jobs easier. RapidWorks has an incredible opportunity to help heavy equipment service providers operate more efficiently and profitably, and I’m excited to build on that momentum with the team.”

Looking Ahead

DePaolis’ appointment follows RapidWorks’ recent acquisition of CRO Software, a leader in waste management and recycling technology, which marked a major step in expanding the company’s capabilities and market reach. With CRO now part of the RapidWorks family, the company is accelerating its mission to serve all heavy equipment service providers across multiple verticals, from concrete pumping and crane services to waste management and beyond.

“In my two years as CEO of Rapidworks, we have tripled in size. Adding Matt’s leadership is another key step in scaling RapidWorks to meet the needs of our growing customer base,” added Curran. “Together with our expanded product portfolio and a dedicated team, we’re building a stronger foundation to deliver even greater value for heavy equipment service providers worldwide.”
